LawMatters.in focuses on issues relating to copyright and content law from an Indian perspective. Any person who either accesses or uses the Website (i.e. LawMatters.in including copyright.lawmatters.in) or any content from it must agree to these terms. If you — a visitor to the Website, or a person who accesses content from the Website (or someone claiming through you) — do not agree to them, please do not access, use or refer to either the Website or its content.
First things first: the Website is the personal website of Nandita Saikia, and its content has been made available solely for the purpose of academic discussion. The Website’s content may not be accurate or complete, and it is partial to the author’s own points of view. Neither the author nor any person connected to the Website vouch for anyone named on the Website. No one should do anything on the basis of the Website’s content or rely on the Website’s content in any manner. Neither the author of the Website’s content nor any person connected with the Website will be responsible or liable in any manner or to any extent for the consequences of any action taken on the basis of any of the Website’s content.
To put it bluntly, the author of the any content on the Website is not your lawyer. None of the content on the Website is professional advice, and the Website neither creates an attorney-client relationship between the author and you, nor does it seek to do so.

Finally, all disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of India, and the terms of use may occasionally be updated.
